Readers of Sea Kayaker Magazine have voted on their favorite boats and gear, and Chesapeake Light Craft has been chosen for "Best Kayak Kit"! Thanks to Sea Kayaker readers all over the world for picking the Chesapeake 17 out of a crowded field of kayak kits as Number One.

Sea Kayaker Magazine has long been the paddlesports industry's toughest, most unbiased publication so it's a great honor to get a nod in their triennial readers' choice awards.

The same readers tapped our Annapolis showroom as best Northeast Kayak Shop. There are many kayak shops in the Northeast US, and you can get paddles and PFDs at all of them.
