Need tips on wet sanding between coats of paint/varnish

I don't have much experience with wet sanding so I would appreciate any tips on effective methods.

Thanks.

Rich,

Wet sanding is pretty easy.  All you need is the sand paper and a bucket of water.  Rinse the paper frequently to get rid of the goop build up and to keep the surface you are working on wet.  The nice thing is no dust.  Go easy so you do not take off all the varnish you just put on.

For a great alternative, see the thread titled "Two Schooner Varnish Questions" on this forum.

Good luck, Paul G

most important thing about any hand sanding is to not use your fingrers to sand use a rubber squegee or pad between your fingers and the paper a little soap in the water helps to keep the paper clean
