C16/C17

Hi - Just completed a 16 for my daughter and a 17 for myself. We were at a sea training day on Saturday and we found doing the paired rescue exercise much more difficult with the C/peakes due I think to the slightly higher decks. Are there any special techniques or tips that I have missed? Otherwise the kayaks were fantastic on the open sea.
