Launch and maiden voyage of my MC 16.5
I had a great day with friends and the CLC staff at the demo day at Lake Natoma. Thank you for the helpful advice and the nice comments about my kayak. pics http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=30649026&l=05b23688d6&id=1376837575

It looks very nice, I hope you had fun. Were you with the group of 6 MCs there? I think two were MC 13s. I had my WD12 there. One fellow had a beutiful Red Fish wood stripper there. My impression was that one fellow w/ a MC 13 may not have scuffed up his primer coat before putting on his final (dark blue) coat on last week. Some of his final coat was pealing off. - But the dark blue looked very nice. Oh well, what's another coat or two of paint? I plan to sand and repaint several long scratches I have got from my last two trips to areas with rocky shores.

Ralph, Yes, I was with the group of 6 Mill Creeks. That was me with the blue paint peeling of my MC 16.5. My primer coat looks fine under the blue. Either I did not scuff it up enough or after scuffing it up, I did not clean the dust off enough.Either way, after a paddle through the lagoon on the North side, I was trailing paint strips. If that was that your Wood Duck with the two tone paint job, it looks great. I've got plenty of paint for repair & repainting. My MC is third from the left.
