MC 16.5 bilge extends beyond sheer panels

I am building a   millcreek 16.5  .  I have wired the bilge to the Sheer Pannels, installed the bukheads, tightened all wires.  The boat looks great but the bilge extned beyond the  sheer panels slightly at both bow and stern, 1/8 at bow, 3/8 at stern.  Is this a problem?

I wouldn't think it's a problem... I wired mine (17 LT) from bow to stern; bow lined up exactly (of course) but the stern overhung (bilge panels) by 3 inches!  I just wacked it off and will shape accordingly.  The hull looks great, shape-wise; I think that 3 inches must've just been some play built into the design.  Better too long than too short!

Good luck,

Larry

I had the same problem at the stern of my MC 16.5 hybrid.  I just trimmed it too match, rounded it with a sander and it looks fine.
