How long before varnishing?

How long can i go without varnishing my deck? I have a millcreek 13 and i want to take it out and make sure i don't want to add any rod holders or epoxy anything else to the deck before i varnish. Looks like i my be launching it for the first time tomorrow......i don't know if i can sleep tonite!-Chris
