Are the end caps added after the fiberglass is put on the hull or before? I note the end caps are larger than the place on bow and stern where they are applied. Do you trim them before affixing them or after? Bill

Ideally those "caps" go on before you do the fiberglass sheathing. It's intended that you do a good deal of shaping on those caps---very sharp at the waterline, gently rounded up at deck level.
