Ahoy! The construction manual for my PMD says use 7.5' oars, the CLC website says 8' oars. I'd prefer to use the 7.5's because they're $100 cheaper and will more easily fit in my stationwagon. Performance on the water is more important though. Anybody out there have experience/comments on either length of oar? Thanks.

Back in May of 2006, John Harris posted the following in the Passagemaker Dinghy forum:
" Either 7-1/2's or 8's will do very nicely. 8's are better for long rows when you've got some ground to cover; 7-1/2's are better for maneuvering and storage. "
