Time delay between 1st and 2nd coat of epoxy

After "Filleting" the bow compartment of my MC 16.5 and coating the wood for water proofing,(on tuesday) I ran out of epoxy hardener. I picked up a new bottle, but I have a question.......

Can I put the 2nd coat of epoxy on tonight without sanding? 48hours later?

I am using System 3 epoxy with the #2 medium hardener. Temps here have been in the 40's-50's at night and 60's-70's during the day.

Shouldn't be a problem. I've done the same thing with S3 and S3 Silvertip, and both worked fine with no problems.

Yeah, what Lazlo said. You might want to coat a small section first and let it sit for five minutes or so and then look at it. If the surface of the second coat stays flat you're good to go. If it wrinkles or beads you should wash off any blush and sand.

Thanks for the advice.

System 3 isn't supposed to blush. (But who knows) I'll try a small section & clean/sand it if I need to.
