On my Wood Duck the CLC supplied hatch gasket sticks tenaciously to the hatch rim after it has been closed for even a short time. It takes either a pry bar or 30 seconds of work with very strong fingernails to get it open. Of course I can add a pull tab or handle but I wonder if anyone has solved this problem more directly.

Thanks Laszlo. That's certainly a nice clean look.
I will experiment with some sort of release agent on the rim. Maybe wax will work, or vaseline used sparingly.

I used a Dremel to grind a finger hole on mine. The gasket keeps water from the hole from getting into the boat.
More info here.
