Last night I glued up the blanks for the mast and spars. This morning I removed the clamps and was very pleased with the results. I snapped together the template for the mast and it fits perfect. I snapped together the template for the boom/yard and it is a good 15 inch longer than the blank? Near panic set in for a few moments, did I somehow glue them up wrong? I checked the manual and it shows the boom to be 108 inches long. I put tape on my boom and it measures 108 inches. What gives? Why is the template so much longer? Its no big deal the boom is just 108 inches with the last 20 tapered down. I can do that without a template. I just dont understand that template??
