Good watch: Legendary craftsman James Krenov in the 1990's speaks on his craft

Hey fellow builders, I thought I would share this video of James Krenov talking about his experiences in cabinet making and perfecting his craft.  He also speaks on enjoying the process fully in comparison to being concentrated on the end result.

Maybe a little CLC build motivation?

I especially liked this quote,
"Things men have made with wakened hands
and put soft life into
are awake through years with transferred touch
and go on glowing
For long years:
and for this reason, some old things are lovely
warm still with the life of forgotten men
who made them."

Just watched the Krenov interview.  Very interesting and thought provoking.  Reminds me a lot about enjoying the process of boat building.  By not rushing and attending to detail I am less apt to foul it up. Thanks for posting it.  I needed the inspiration.  And the quote by D. H. Lawrence is powerful.  I like to think our wooden boats will continue to go on glowing with life long after we are gone.  Greg
