I'm about to the point of painting my Sassafras 16. About how many square feet is it inside and out? I plan to finish the gunwales, seats, thwart, and breastplates bright.
Measure around the hull at the widest point. Then measure the length. Multiply the two together and divide by 72. That will give you a good approximation of the area inside and out in square feet. It will be a little off but close enough for figuring paint requirements.
