fairing compound over interlux prekote

I just put on the first coat of prekote primer and noted 2 small holes not filled by epoxy. One on each side of the boat, apparently left over from the wire stiches, Hard to believe after 3 coats of epoxy. Also noted some rough surface not sanded out well enough for my eye. Is there any fairing compound compatible with interlux to fill these pinholes and rough surface. Calling interlux only gets me to voice mails, no live people. Or am I back to epoxy coating and more sanding?

RE: fairing compound over interlux prekote

When I had the same type of problem with my sailing dinghy, I mixed up epoxy and phenolic microballoons and used that to patch things up. I was using a primer that specifically said that it was compatible with epoxy being applied over it. If Interlux is also compatible with epoxy (and based on your comment about back to epoxy coating and sanding I assume that you think it is) then you can use that mixture.

Good luck,

Laszlo

As usual, Laszlo has the right of it.  I've attached a couple of links that might be useful to you.
