Hello. I have a question about boiling plywood in order to test if it is suitable for boat building. When doing the test, do you just boil the plywood and see if it separates or afte rboiling it for the prescribed length of time do you then try to flex and separate it? I have some 1/4inch three ply that is holding up to two or three hours of boiling, but which does separate if I forcefully flex it after removing it from the boiling water. ( note: I realize that the real tests may last 24-72 hours) Thank you for your thoughts

I think it was Dynamite Payson who, when told of the plywood boiling test, quipped that if boiling made your plywood come apart, you "should avoid boiling your boat."
