Building the Mattawa - a small tandem canoe
Back in November I built myself a basswood Northwest Passage Solo canoe and my girlfriend thought it was so cool that she wanted to build a boat for herself. We finally decided to build the Mattawa - a John Winters design. It is 15 1/2' and came in at about 47 pounds. You can see lots of photos with descriptions of the process on my furniture blog.
