Cocktail Class Racer Throttle Kit

I just hooked up the Cocktail Class Racer throttle kit to my 1976 Evinrude outboard. The throttle works such that pushing the throttle handle forward slows the engine down and pulling it back speeds it up--not intuitive. Has anyone encountered this and does anyone have a fix? Thanks

If you are using the Uflex R/C box, take apart and go through the assembly again. You can put the system together so that it pushes the cable or pulls the cable, depending on how you assemble the box. You need it the other way. Been there, done that, easy fix. Good luck.

I have several of the stock OMC control boxes available. These eliminate the problem you encountered with the Italian-made aftermarket control. They also use factory OMC cables so no adaptors req'd at the engine end. Contact me at 617.699-2153 if anyone you know would like to purchase.
