Stumbled upon this while removing the temp forms hot glued in the shearwater sport hybrid and shearwater 14 hybrid I'm building.  To easily remove hot glue, use a q-tip (or something similar) to apply isopropyl alcohol to the edges of the glue.  Wait 10 seconds or so and wiggle to create a loose edge.  Continue to apply the alcohol while gently prying.
