So my boat is glassed and has the first fill coat in. And, with the usual perfect timing, I came across some cotton fabric yesterday I'd potentially like to incorporate into the finish, as accents on the bow and stern of the deck.
So here's the question - would there be any issues with laying down the fabric over the glass, working in a coat or two of epoxy on top, then gently sanding down any high spots or runs, being careful not to cut into the decorative fabric ? Varnish coats to follow as a finish.
And for anyone interested, Joanne's Fabric stores, and I suspect others, sell quarters of different fabrics, approx. 18"x21", for not so much (I paid $1.99). If only my wife had dragged me there sooner... :-)

While you are there get foam brushes. Much cheaper there.
