Fiberglass visible after sanding
OK. I have sanded the epoxy smooth to get ready for varnish (wood duck). There are several spots where the fiberglass is visible, but still smooth. When I wipe the dust off with denatured alcohol and it is wet you cannot see the fiberglass. When it flashes off you see the weave again. It seems like I read somewhere that this would be OK to varnish. Not looking forward to another coat of epoxy and more sanding. I suppose I'll try a small test section with varnish to see if the weave pattern disappears. But, if anyone has gone through this before it would be helpful.

As long as you have not actually sanded into the cloth, and it feels smooth, it will disappear when you varnish. -Wes
