Fiberglassing

I have had to set my Wood Duck project aside for a few weeks.  I have a question regarding how I ensure that the new fiberglass tape and resin adheres to the old fiberglass and resin when I resume work on the boat?

I fiberglassed the inside of my Wood Duck and only was able to fillet and tape one side seam prior to quitting work for awhile.  What do I need to do to ensure that the tape adheres to the fiberglassed inside surface when I resume work?

Thanks for any advice,

Fred

RE: Fiberglassing

Hi Fred, I believe roughing up the old surfaces with sandpaper and wiping with denatured alcohol is the standard procedure. If your brand of epoxy is prone to blush washing first with warm soapy water and a scotchbrite pad is in order.
