I am looking to build a small sailboat that is light enough to haul in and out of the water and the Passagemaker looks ideal but for one concern. There is no side gunwale seating and the photos show people sitting in the bottom of the boat to sail in any breeze. This looks uncomfortable and wet.

I know it is small but it looks like some side seating could be installed in the rear section, either at the gunwale or at the regular seat level. The footwell would be smaller but not impossible.

Has anyone tried this? Any opinions on viability/sense?
