washing boats for zebra mussels
In Masachusetts, to keep from spreading zebra mussels, you are required to
wash your boats with one of the following: 1) 140 degree or hotter water, or 2)
a bleach solution, or 3) Lysol (as sold), or 4) straight vinegar.
I'm wondering if anyone might know the impact of these techniques on a varnished or graphite/epoxy finish?
Thanks.
Jerry

Ive used vinegar on my wood boats. I rinse with a hose after. No effects noticed.
