bulkhead to high on one side

I noticed that the bulkhead in the woodduck 12 is higher on one side, unfortunately I noticed it after it was filleted in, any suggestions on how I can trim her down, the bulkhead mated perfectly at the hull no gaps, hmmmmm   taking suggestions....

RE: bulkhead to high on one side

Put the deck on, see how high it is and trim to fit.  Had to do the same with my Shearwater Double no big deal.

Ok I will do that, I guess being it is a hybrid, maybe I can use the form that holds the combing ring, thanx for your suggestion....

RE: bulkhead to high on one side

Hey Ocean...  I added a bulkhead forward of the foot braces on my Wood Duck 12.    To get the proper, and equal contour, take a strip of door skin (About $7.00 at most lumber yards) and cut a 5" wide strip that is about a foot longer than your kayak is wide. Secure one end and then bend it over the aft bulkhead.  With a block plane, shave off JUST A LITTLE and check again.  Do this a few times and you will end up with a perfect fit, ready to be glassed.     ~BRUCE~
