I'm building my first Chesapeake 17LT. I was wondering if anyone has ever applied fillets and glass tape to the scarf joints in the hull panels. Is this overkill? Thanks!
~ I went into the project really unsure of myself having never done anything like it before, but the instructions were clear and the help from [the staff] made the process pretty straightforward. ~ more

Overkill. Properly done scarf joints are probably stronger than the surrounding wood.
