Sharpie Center Deck

I'm building the Sharpie. The next step is to attach the center deck. On the centerline of the boat, it should lie on the framing and center bulkhead, and forward of that, on the top of the daggerboard trunk. These are not aligned. If I place a ruler along the centerline fore and aft, it touches only the forward edge of the trunk and the aft edge of the framing, just aft of the hole for the mizzenmast. Everywhere else is a gap. The maximum gap is about a quarter inch, at the aft end of the trunk. So, if you look at the top of the framing for the mizzen and the top of the trunk in side view, instead of a straight line, they form a shallow vee. The aft end of the trunk is not flush with the bulkhead where they mate, either; the bulkhead is about 1/8 proud of the trunk. If I simply attach the deck, it will be unsupported wherever there is a gap. I suppose that either the framing or the trunk may not be installed quite right, or perhaps not fabricated right. Has anyone else experienced this problem? I will either have to rip something out, or fill the gap, or plane things down to a straight line. Any ideas what I should do?
