Nicely matched 16LT & 17LT kayaks for sale - $1400 for the pair and all gear...

Offered for sale are a matched pair of Chesapeake Light Craft(CLC) sea kayaks, in the 16 LT and 17 LT sizes.  Crafted approximately 6 years ago, the boats have been largely stored inside, their okoume decks developing a beautiful honey glow.  In or out of the water, these boats draw attention.

 

The larger kayak is the white hulled, weight approximately 40 lbs, the 16 is yellow and slightly lighter. Both boats track well, have low profiles for limited wind resistance and have been well tested in 5 foot swells and a great assortment of weather conditions.  They are great day trip boats, but really beckon to take them camping with ample in hull and on deck storage.  Boats are easily lifted, stored and portaged by a single adult, but feature bow and stern rope handles to make for an easier, two person move.

The fore hatch on the yellow(16’) kayak was damaged and has been reglued.  The finish on this hatch is not as glossy as the remainder of the deck and should be refinished at some point.

Boats are located in St Petersburg, Florida, on the placid gulf coast and adjacent to Tampa Bay. While payment for the kayaks is required within 10 days of close of auction, seller is willing: to deliver boats within Florida for reimbursement of reasonable expenses, to assist a uShip contractor in loading the boats for delivery(at buyers expense), or to store the boats until no later than February 2010, should buyer desire to make a winter trip to Florida and enjoy a paddling vacation in the sunny winter months.
