For Sale - 16' Sprit rigged plywood skiff

Note to potential buyers:

The16 foot, sprit rigged utility skiff (the Dobler), featured in Low Resistance Boats by Thomas Firth Jones, is for sale. Jones wrote in his book that “She was the best compromise I've ever seen of the conflicting needs of sail, power, and oar...”. She was built stitch and glue with okume plywood, epoxy and bronze fastenings/fittings. Propulsion is by a custom tanbark sail from Dabbler Sails, oars by Shaw and Tenney and an electric motor with battery. She comes with two rudders (one tilt-up), dagger board, varnished fir spars, two sets of oarlocks, depth sounder and galvanized trailer with recently purchased wheels/tires. First place winner in the Contemporary Construction category at the Mid Atlantic Small Craft Festival in 2006, the year she was built. If interested email Jack for a video of the boat. Delivery in the North East can be arranged. $1950. (I just finished a Peeler Skiff and there is no room in the garge.)
