I don't race at all. In fact I hate going for long paddles unless I'm in one of my kayaks! I surf which is enough paddling for me. I sold my San O. Before I did I used it a couple of times and had a couple of my paddleboarding buddies try it. They were pretty impressed with the overall performance and handling. It was one of those guys who ended up buying it. It catches swells easily and I even gave it a go for stand up surfing. That ended badly! Course I don't know if Jamie Mitchell can stand up surf one of these! By the way, have you tried the standup paddleboards? I have a friend here who's switched over to those. Says it's much easier on the neck.
