Not a problem but I'd match the two sides and plane/sand off the same amount on both. You'll have to use your own judgement as to beveling the inside corners, but 2-3mm isn't too big a deal. Beveling the edge lightens the boat a bit and isn't going to weaken the structure. I built two San 0 14's and beveled the heck out of the sheer clamps! They're still both holding together.
