I think I'm going to go with bright all the way. One less type of paint to buy and learn how to use.

Plus, I can practice on the bottom where it won't be seen as much so my technique will be perfect by the time I get to the top.

I've found over the years that if you know what you're looking for you could tell the chronology of my woodworking projects by the quality of the finish: crappiest first and the best last. I guess same goes for tile, drywall, or any of the other skill trades.
