Laszlo, You are the Ghandi of boat-making. I really do appreciate your wisdom and support. I have slowed down and adjusted expectations. I just want it to be perfect - a little type A coming through...I'm sure I'll be posting again for more advice. I'm keeping the original transom in the end. I believe I can fit the two broken pieces together without too much incident - I'll post pictures soon. Thanks again.
