Installing deck process?
Posted by Kyle Lindstrom on Oct 1, 2007
O.K, quick question for you guys. I just finished putting a layer of cloth on the hull and hopefully this week I will be able to install my deck. So what is the best way to do this. I know they say to install the rear deck first. I assume I will put a coat of thickened epoxy on the shear clamps and then nail it down. To get the curve I will use a ratchet clamp over the bulkhead. Should I start at the cockpit and nail each side down at the same time. One nail one side, one nail the other side and work my way back? Or should I nail one side down completely and then go to the other side? Just want to know the best way. I assume one each side working back would be the best. Thanks for you help guys!
