The dam method is easy enough, as long as you don't encounter any leaks. I've avoided this by: 1)carefully cut the dam to fit properly 2)coat it with clear packing tape 3)once in, carefully fillet the edges of the dam/hull to really seal it (a long wooden spoon works well for this) 4)once the fillet has stiffened, start pour a few ounces at a time to avoid boil over. Let sit overnight 5)pull dam out and you'll have a nice clean end pour
