I also have an MC but have taken it on nearly no river adventures - not wanting the damage I have to admit. We have mainly messed around in small lakes and even did some Lake Michigan mini trips with it. It would pain my heart to run it up against some rocks after putting that much time into it. I think I'd buy a cheap used plastic boat for that before I'd bring my MC to something like that.
