If it was blush and you epoxied over it then the new coat of epoxy would not stick uniformly. I know, I've used enough West System to know about amine blush. If you're using the System 3 or MAS epoxy from a CLC kit then blush shouldn't be an issue. But this does not sound like what you described, so you are probably ok. Since I haven't ever had to deal with humidity induces hazing, I'll defer to others on whether it needs to be removed before varnish.

Charlie is right that it is easy to remedy BEFORE you do the next coat. However, any epoxy or finish coat applied to amine blush will have to be removed with wet sanding.
