and you try to sand it, it'll clog your sand paper with a wax like substance- it isn't really wax.

Just use a scotch brite pad and some plain water to scrub it down. Shouldn't take more than ten minutes to do the whole boat. Dry it off with a towel and then try to sand it.

After that it should sand clean, then another coat will go on fine.

The other reason for a satin rather than a glossy look is humidity changes from when you put it on until it cured. Like it got damper. If that's it, it'll sand right off.

Blush isn't all that big a deal. Many make it out to be, but it's so easy to get rid of it isn't that much problem.
