filling staple holes

Posted by Jeremy on Sep 17, 2007

I stapled my panels together when I cut them out of the blanks to insure identical pieces. Now I have staple holes in my hull pieces. My question is, do I need to fill those holes with thickened epoxy? Is a fill overkill being that I will be fiberglassing the hull anyway? On a side note, I will be painting the hull, if that makes any difference. In the same vein as the staple holes, I also have some areas where the panels meet that I did fill with epoxy but there are some gaps. Do these need a second coat or should I get the thing fiberglassed?
