The Arctic Hawk instructions specify 1/16" vent holes in the bulkheads, even though it also has hatches. Hey, they might really be airtight, right?
Anyway, they're done by drill-fill-drill, leaving no plywood exposed to moisture, and are in the middle of the bulkheads. That makes sense, after a little thought. Even when you don't do rolls or exits, you turn the kayak over to drain the cockpit.
