That's correct. I will need to do some cleaning on the exterior to verify this, but it doesn't look like there was any delamination between the exterior glass and the wood itself. I was a little surprised not to see a nice gouge through the glass.
However, Robert's repair came out very well. I like the idea of the extra painted coating on the underside as well. Landing on a barnacle encrusted beach with a fully loaded boat, really wears on the bottoms. My wife is particularly hard on her landings as she likes to plant it.
