My suggestion for only repairing the inside was prompted by Eric's description of the damage. It sounds as if the glass on the outside is intact, just scuffed, but the flexing cracked the plywood and unglassed epoxy on the inside. If the outside glass is indeed penetrated, it needs patching also.
