When I checked the price of the Eider it is $752 plus shipping for the complete kit. You can get partial kits for less.

Don't get me wromg I love the CLC stuff. I made a Mill Creek 16.5 so the kids could go paddling with me, but it wasn't long before they wanted ther own faster sleeker boats. The MC 16.5 does go pretty good for as wide as it is and with two paddlers can turn on a dime. I'd recommend you at least try one, you might like it.
