Wood Duck 12 Coaming

Well, I got the bits unpacked and the long bits glued together. I'm not going to do a blow-by-blow since so many other people have perfectly good detailed blogs about building S&G kayaks, but when I run across something interesting or peculiar to Ducks I'll post a quickie. Here's one - the Wood Duck 12 Coaming. It seemed huge when I tried out the boat, it seemed huge when I opened the box. Well, it is huge. Here's my Duck's coaming hung on my wife's 16LT. No wonder the duck is so easy to get into and out of. Shame I didn't have one of those racing pencils, like the Pax 20, around for the comparison. It would have been downright comical.
