Skerry with LeeBoards

Has anyone ever considered or built a Skerry with Lee Boards. That would open up the boat considerably. The Sea Pearl uses them and from what I've read the lee board pearl is almost or as fast as the centerboard model. The boards are weighted so you just drop one or the other on tacks or leave em both down the windward board acts to keep the boat more flat due to it's weight being lower. Just Curious.
