seat drain holes

Posted by Bob Lippold on Aug 17, 2007

I built my Shearwater Hybrid about a year ago and am extremely happy with it. However, after I glued in the foam rubber seat pieces I realized I probably should have cut in drain holes in the front, rear and both sides to allow water to drain out. Has anyone else run into this problem and if so are there any suggestions as to how to cut or drill those drain holes (at the bottom where the rubber meets the wood) without trying to rip the glued seat off?
