glass bottomed chesapeake

This evening was the virgin voyage of my Chesapeake 16lt. I did not sink! This was a huge relief, since I cut two gigantic holes in the bottom to install lexan windows. I followed the instructions for adding a glass bottom to the MC, but did a 7x15 inch panel on each side of the center seam, with 1/8 inch lexan held to the plywood gasket using 3M 5200. So far, so good. The view wasn't too great today because the lake isn't very clear, but I'm going down to silver river ( http://www.clubkayak.com/cfkt/trips/silver_river.html ) next week and I think that will make it all worthwhile. I'll try to get a more impressive picture then, but until that time, here's this:
