Skerry Stability

I built an Eastport Sailing Pram, thinking I could use it as a "yacht tender" for our 30 ft sailboat and teach the grandkids to sail. Although it's a fun teaching boat, I find it's a bit tender to be a proper tender. I'm wondering if the Skerry, due to its additional length and weight, offers significantly more stability when stepping up and down to the deck. I'd appreciate thoughts from those who have built and used them.
