Hi all...
Sorry to be the naysayer here, but I wonder if that glass was properly wet out to begin with... The reason I say this is that the glass fibers look particularly white and freestanding.
Did the builder scrimp on epoxy in the build? To me, that looks like a "dry seam".
Also, what on earth did the owner do to the yak to break that seam? I dropped one end of the MC13 30" onto a concrete floor. The MC was perfect... (Man what a noise that makes!)
Just being skeptical...
If it were me, I'd offer to spend a couple of hours starting the repair as described above. I'd want to see what's under that paint.
