MC13 Bulkhead fit issue

Hello,

I am in the process of fitting my bulkheads on a MC13. When I open up the beam to the required 29.5 inches and try to fit the bulkheads they are no where close to fitting. After a bit of work with an angle gauge I came up with what I think is the proper dimension, however it will require me to remove about 1.5 inches of material off each side from the front bulkhead. I can send a picture if someone needs to see what I am talking about.

I am concerned that so much material needs to come off to make it fit. It is not even close to the plan.

My questions to the group:

1. Is this normal? Should I be concerned that the bulkhead is not even close to fitting?

2. Did I do something wrong?
