Thanks, Bob. By gassing I mean it continues to smell, which means it can't be cured, which means it is still soft as regards fine sanding prior to the final "aim at perfection" coat of Bristol finish. They say use 220 grit; I have found you can cut through it quite easily with gentle hand sanding using 320. So I plan to leave it for another week or so at least to let it get hard. It surprises me thay don't address this in the product info.
